6/5/2007 - Petition Drive Kicks off in Turkey

Turkish Cultural Foundation/ AFS Turkey announced the kick-off of the AFS exchanges4peace.org Petition Drive campaign during the Annual AFS Dinner in Istanbul on May 9. Those attending the dinner were welcomed at the door and presented with bookmarks shaped in the original AFS baggage tags. The front side was celebrating the 60th year of AFS and back side was introducing the Petition drive. After drinking cocktails while overlooking the Boshporous, everyone was seated and the dinner started with the Petition movie. Then the hosts of the night made a welcome speech and reminded the petition drive web address written on the back side of their bookmarks.
